Diversity Leadership Education 

    Any organization embarked on a diversity project needs knowledgeable leadership to champion change and support Diversity Council efforts. We are particularly skilled at working with executive teams to build understanding of and support for diversity.  Our experience suggests that like everyone else, leaders need a safe and open atmosphere for inquiry and discussion where they have the freedom to question, challenge and consider new behavioral approaches and policy changes.  We work to create and maintain this atmosphere in our executive seminars.

Enhancing Awareness & Skills 

    Our extensive training curriculum (Continuing the Diversity Journey) has been adapted for and successfully implemented in a variety of public and private sector organizations.  We are proud of the quality of these offerings. Every program utilizes our dimensions of diversity model and presents a broad and inclusive view of this topic. This assures greater acceptance and support for diversity and change from a broad base of employees at every participating level. Each program balances awareness enhancement with skill development since an individual’s understanding and actions must be linked. 

    In some organizations, we have designed and delivered all training.  In others, we have developed the programs, licensed the content and trained and certified client volunteers to serve as workshop facilitators. Although both options are effective, we believe that developing an internal cadre of skilled facilitators provides the greatest long-term benefit to our clients.   Read More


Program Design & Implementation 

    In many organizations, Diversity Councils may spend 1-2 years attempting to define their missions and develop meaningful plans.  This process is often frustrating and discouraging to Council members as well as to their organizations.  Loden Associates has developed a 3-day start up process (Implementing Diversity Workshop) to accelerate Diversity Council planning.  This program exposes participants to a variety of change management concepts and project planning tools useful in defining Diversity Council goals, roles and specific actions. 

    Loden Associates is also available to shadow teams who complete this training to assure that follow-up efforts remain “on track” and to help recalibrate implementation priorities over time.  Read More
